We got to shoot a fun little engagement session for Sarah and Darrin at the Two Oaks Ranch in Warren, TX. This couple has so much love for each other and it was great getting to capture it on film so that they could cherish these photos for a lifetime!
East Texas Engagement Session
Sarah and Darrin’s love story began in 2001 when they were three years old! Both of their families spent time together in their early years, including playdates on their local church playground. The playground had this little yellow school bus that they loved to include in their adventures. But, as it often happens, they grew up and, through the years, grew apart.
Sarah and Darrin reconnected again when they were teenagers. What quickly became a crush for Darrin became something Sarah was a bit unsure of. She ended up turning him down the first time he asked her out! Years later, Sarah recalls Darrin walking into her office. “Still pretty hot,” Sarah thought. And, after getting her number and asking her out, these two were inseparable.
7 months later, Darrin got down on one knee and proposed in front of that same little yellow school bus where they had first met so many years ago.
The whole love story is just so sweet! It’s a story you don’t hear very often. But, it’s their story, and it’s so perfect for who they are as a couple.
One of our favorite moments of the session was when Darrin opted to give Sarah a piggyback ride. Sarah wasn’t so thrilled about it, but Darrin loved the idea, and she loves him, so she decided to let it fly just this once.
All in all, Sarah and Darrin are such a fantastic couple. They really are the embodiment of true love and we were so happy we got to be there that day to get it all on camera! And the Two Oaks Ranch served as the perfect backdrop for these guys all day. Sarah and Darrin, thank you so much for being you and we can’t wait for you to tie the knot and show the world what you’re made of!
