Whitney and Kyle’s spring wedding was a stunning celebration, filled with love, joy, and some gorgeous details! The couple chose one of our favorite venues, The Barn At Willowynn. Located outside Houston, this elegant and modern barn venue is breathtaking inside and out. They have an open-air chapel on-site, as well as five different spots for an outdoor ceremony. It really gives you the best of both worlds! Acres of outdoor space, and a modern barn, all in one. They also have an amazing covered patio, that makes the perfect spot for cocktail hour. This venue has 18 acres of land, so you can really utilize the space in so many ways!
Intricate Wedding Gown and Accessories
Whitney wore a gown that was timeless and romantic, and made for the most incredible portraits! She chose a sheath gown covered in lace and sequins, with a dramatic illusion back. We loved all of the button details and how she incorporated the pearl buttons into the rest of her look. For the ceremony, she wore white heels accented with pearls from Bella Belle Shoes. This shoe designer is a favorite of ours! They are just so gorgeous and classic, but comfortable. For the reception, Whitney had a pair of sparkly Keds ready to go, so she could dance all night long.
The bridesmaids wore rose and blush chiffon gowns and carried white bouquets. The bride’s bouquet was filled with roses, ranunculus, and soft greenery. One of our favorite parts of the wedding was that the couple brought their dogs alone! Hank looked so dapper in his handkerchief and was such a cute part of the bride and bridesmaids’ portraits.
Ceremony at The Barn at Willowynn
The ceremony took place inside the chapel, where cafe lights added a soft glow. Both their pups, Hank and Max, were a large part of their ceremony. During the ceremony, the flower girl and ring bearer pulled a little wagon, in which the pups sat patiently waiting. While it was raining, Whitney and Kyle were just so happy to get married, they didn’t even care! Plus, The Barn At Willowynn has multiple spots for ceremonies, so they have the best rain backup areas that are beautiful.
After the ceremony, the sun started to shine, so we walked the grounds for some bride and groom portraits, as well as bridal party pictures. As your photographer, we will help you find the perfect spots for portraits, even if it’s a little cloudy! Of course, we had to have some pictures with Willie the donkey.
Rustic Reception Details
The blush and cream color palette continued into the reception, with tall centerpieces on the rustic farm tables. The Barn At Willowynn has their own tables and chairs, and the rustic pieces tie into the elegant barn and really make it stunning. The tables also featured greenery garlands with candles throughout for a little glow as the sunset. Instead of table numbers, each table featured a country they have visited together and a picture. It was such a cute way to show off their love of travel!
Whitney and Kyle’s wedding was the most incredible celebration and start to a beautiful marriage. We are so thankful we got to photograph this sweet day! Congratulations Whitney and Kyle!
