Allison and Ryan’s wedding at Ashton Gardens West was glam, elegant, and full of pretty pink details. It was also a long-awaited celebration—the couple met during their senior year of high school. They soon began dating, and the rest is history! Their wedding day was so joyful, and we’re so glad that we got to be a part of it. 

Fun with First Looks

One of our favorite features of the day was the many first looks that the couple incorporated into their timeline. Allison did one with her bridesmaids and with her father, and the images of them cheering and embracing are so sweet. Ryan also did a reveal with Allison’s bridesmaids, which was a first for us! Both bridal parties kept things so fun and light the entire day. You could tell that they were genuinely overjoyed for the happy couple!

As for Ryan and Allison, while they did not do a first look, they exchanged letters and gifts with their backs to one another. This can be a great alternative for couples who want to maintain the tradition of seeing one another for the first time at the altar. You get to preserve the surprise, but still spend time with your best friend before saying “yes” to forever!

Ceremony at Ashton Gardens West

Soon after the first looks concluded, it was time for the ceremony! Allison wore a stunning long-sleeved lace gown paired with a classic tulle veil. We especially loved her skirt, which flared into a trumpet shape with a train adorned with lace. It flowed so elegantly over the stairs of the altar as she said her vows to Ryan. Meanwhile, her bridesmaids positively glowed in floor-length gowns covered from top to bottom in pink sequins! The gowns photographed so beautifully as they caught rays of sunshine in the light-filled chapel. 

The florals by J. Designs also featured the day’s primary color of classic pink. Allison and her bridesmaids carried bouquets featuring pink roses, ivory accent florals, and eucalyptus. The effect was delicate and romantic, in terms of both composition and color! Meanwhile, creamy white roses and eucalyptus lined both sides of the aisle for a cohesive look.

It was such a joy to capture Allison and Ryan’s wedding at Ashton Gardens West! We especially enjoyed documenting their private last dance, which made for some of the sweetest images in their entire gallery. Their expressions said it all—they were in complete awe of one another, and so happy to finally be husband and wife!
