Why Bridal Sessions are Important

We ADORE bridal sessions. But, we know that a lot of people are not familiar with this southern tradition. In this blog post, we will go into detail on why bridal sessions are important and why we include them in our Wedding Collections.

The Trial Run

What better way to ensure you will be perfection personified than doing a trial run of your look for your wedding day! We encourage all of our clients to do a bridal session because this allows you to test out your hair, makeup, and bouquet. It is such a reassurance to know that you love your look before your wedding day, and your bridal session guarantees that your wedding day look will go off without a hitch! This also allows you to make changes to your final look if that is something that you desire.

Test the Dress

Your bridal session also allows you to test your gown and see how it wears. It allows you to move and see how it will flow and act during the wedding day (some dresses are heavy and have long trains, they will have a bit of a learning curve to move about in). We have had a few brides who have tried on their dress and have seen that additional alterations need to be made before the wedding day. And after all, your wedding dress was such a personal choice and expense, why not wear it all you can!

Reduces Wedding Day Stress

Another thing that a bridal session allows for is a reduction in stress for your wedding day (who doesn’t want that?). Taking the time to schedule a bridal session means that we do not need to schedule or dedicate as much time on a wedding day for bridal portraits. And the more time we have to dedicate to other things on the wedding day, the less stress you will have.

Prints of Your Session to Share

You spend so much time and care dedicating yourself to your look for your wedding day. Why not share your photos with as many people as you can? Prints from your session displayed at your reception are sure to wow guests. They also make for great gifts on the wedding day for parents.
