Laila and Matthew’s summer wedding at The Springs in Wallisville was a perfect touch of modern romance. Every detail was amazing from the romantic palette of cream and mauve to the modern acrylic and marble touches!
Beautiful Wedding Day Details
Laila wore a beautiful lace gown that had long sleeves and a plunging illusion v-neck. The scalloped edge detail along the neck was a unique touch. Her cathedral veil tucked into her soft up-do and added a beautiful detail to her wedding look. For her shoes, she chose the Lucia kitten heel from Bella Belle Shoes. These heels are not just beautiful with their pearl detail and bow but comfortable!
The flowers took center stage at this wedding and were a joy to photograph! We love seeing a floral artist’s vision come to life, and see how they combine different colors and textures to create works of art. Laila’s bouquet was an elegant array of natural flowers, with garden roses, scabiosa, hellebore, and greenery. The soft blush and cream velvet ribbon tied in with the velvet details of the reception.
Wedding Ceremony at The Springs Wallisville
The venue, The Trinity Farmhouse at The Springs in Wallisville, was absolutely gorgeous! This is one of our favorite venues to shoot at. The large floor-to-ceiling windows add in beautiful natural light. The bright white floors and natural wood details let you design the space in any style. It is sophisticated and romantic with chic farmhouse touches.
The ceremony took place indoors, in front of a large window. Instead of an arch, florist Artistry Abloom used clear acrylic stands to create a modern ceremony. Then, cascading greenery and candles added different layers of texture and height.
Ready for Guests
After the ceremony, Laila and Matthew enjoyed some time alone together with glasses of champagne. There was a beautiful champagne bar display covered in greenery and topped with bottles of champagne. Champagne glasses were poured and ready for guests to enjoy! Pre-pouring the glasses lets guests easily grab and mingle without waiting in a long line.
The guest tables had lace linens, which added a beautiful texture. Nowadays, linens don’t just have to be solid colors! There are so many designs available now, from patterns to textures! The white scalloped chargers added a soft pattern and complimented the gray menus. The deckle-edged paper looked elegant on top of the velvet napkins. Stone compotes were also placed on the tables and filled with beautiful blooms in the shade of cream blush and dusty purple. It was a contemporary summer palette that was perfect for this late summer wedding. It easily fit into the upcoming fall colors, while also still being light and airy. Finally, the taupe tapered candles added some romantic candlelight as the guests enjoyed their evening.
The soft gray and gold décor was also carried into the desserts, which featured multiple cakes. The main cake had hand-painted marble detail, with editable gold foil. Additionally, three mini cakes in different flavors gave guests more tasty options.
Laila and Matthew’s wedding at The Springs in Wallisville was just gorgeous and so much fun to shoot. Not to mention, we got to work with some amazing vendors who do beautiful work. If you’re looking for someone to capture your special day, we’d love to hear from you!
