It is always a delight when we can get to know a bride over multiple sessions. For example, we met Federica when she modeled for us as a bride for a styled shoot. Little did we know that she would be reaching out to us for her own wedding day! Federica and Justin were recently married at The Annex, so it was the perfect location for her bridal portraits. The pair admired the rustic, yet classic appearance of the venue, and fell in love with the chapel’s stained glass windows. As photographers, we suggest choosing your wedding venue with your portraits in mind, since they will allow you to get a sneak peek of the venue. Federica’s portraits took place outside the chapel—taking advantage of the dramatic backdrop of its stone walls, crystalline chandeliers, and arched double doors—and in the surrounding grounds. There, soft light filtered through the leaves of the trees, complimenting her features perfectly and making for some truly gorgeous portraits. Her dress was lace, with a trumpet silhouette. She wore soft cat-eye liner accentuated with blush cheeks and lids and a gorgeous, classic bright red lip. Her long red hair, styled into subtle waves and curls, cascaded around her elegantly. To complete the look, she carried a bouquet of red and blush roses. Truly, she resembled a movie star!
