Emily and Andrew’s engagement session at Kirby Hill House was the perfect mix of classic and modern! Since childhood, they’ve been acquainted, and Emily even had a crush on Andrew. However, it wasn’t until their college careers at Texas A&M and the University of Texas that they fell in love. One of the best parts of shooting engagement sessions is hearing our couples’ unique love stories!
Engagement Portraits with a Vintage Car at Kirby Hill House
Emily had a specific vision for her engagement session with Andrew from the beginning. Her dream was to shoot with a vintage car, and it came true! It really doesn’t get much more vintage than the stunning Ford 1915 Model T they chose! With its glossy black paint and wooden accents, it was a classic car through and through, but with a modern color palette.
The location for the session continued the vintage-inspired theme! Emily and Andrew chose the Kirby Hill House, a historic home and museum located near their hometown. The white picket fence and two-story porch with Tuscan columns were absolutely dreamy and the perfect backdrop for their portraits. What’s more, the couple brought their sweet poodles along for a few shots on the front steps!
Classic Black and White Outfits
For the session, Emily looked beautiful in a strappy white midi dress with a bodycon fit. She paired it with a sheer pair of elbow-length gloves studded with pearls for a look that perfectly married vintage and modern style! Meanwhile, Andrew looked as classic as could be in a black tuxedo and bowtie. We think it’s so much fun when an engagement session has a theme, and Emily and Andrew went for it! Between their elegant outfits and the historic location, their portraits are bound to look timeless for years to come.
