Who says a wedding gown has to be white? Non traditional wedding gowns are just as showstopping! Bride Hayli stuns in this one from Salt Gowns, with dreamy swaths of cotton candy pink. The gown is accented by her gorgeous ivory, pink, and green bouquet from Blush Floral Co. We’re so glad we got to work with Hayli on this session, and it was a joy to shoot a beautiful bride in such a beautiful dress! 

 

Bridal Session in a Non Traditional Gown

We shot this amazing bridal session at the Oak Atelier, a beautiful location in Conroe that features an outdoor atrium supplied with the most stunning natural light, in addition to indoor spots. The venue offers four different spaces, all intentionally designed for intimate events. We began our shoot in The Willow, their outdoor space, which displays polished white marble floors and floor-to-ceiling glass. It was the perfect location for our session with Hayli. 

Hayli’s pink gown has so much movement and flow, two of our favorite features in a gown. Because of the nature of the dress, we were able to experiment with unconventional poses like lying down. This gown is destined to turn heads when the bride wearing it walks down the aisle!

 

This dreamy gown from Salt features layers upon layers of ruffles, which effortlessly transition from the long sleeves into the cathedral train. While Hayli opted to wear a nude bodysuit underneath, you could easily swap this for a long slip dress to provide more coverage. The overall look was feminine, romantic, and one of a kind! Since the gown was the centerpiece of her look, her hair swept up into a simple updo. A few tendrils cascaded down at the front to add softness.

What’s most important on your wedding day is that you feel beautiful inside and out! Naturally, this means selecting the bridal gown that makes you feel the best. If that is something blush and floral, then go for it! Or, if you decide to keep things classic with a white gown, you will also look perfect. No matter what you choose, being yourself is key!
