For this wedding at The Old Bethany Venue, we aimed for a romantic feel. We wanted all of the details of the day to be elegant in their simplicity, yet fun! Our focal colors were shades of pink and ivory. In addition, gold accents were sprinkled throughout the day, such as on the invitations and bar cart. Everything came together so well to model an enchanting wedding day that exuded classic romance!
The Old Bethany Venue is a gorgeous barn venue nestled on 100 acres of open fields studded with oak trees. The barn is 6500 square feet, so you can count on plenty of space and location options. In addition, the venue owns several smaller properties onsite. So, your bridal party (and you!) can stay close by. Between these properties, up to 22 people can stay there at one time. We’re so glad we had the opportunity to work with this amazing venue!
Gold Accented Wedding at The Old Bethany Venue
Cottonwood Print crafted the most intricate stationery for the affair. The invitations featured a hand-drawn map of the Old Bethany property, while the entire suite featured deckled edge paper and hand-calligraphed envelopes. Each detail was drawn in gold metallic ink to tie in the event’s accent color. The overall effect was so elegant and simple. The calligraphy was our favorite part!
The intimate ceremony took place in a corner of the large white barn. Two floral pillars stood tall to frame the bride and her bridesmaid, bursting with greenery and pink and ivory flowers that matched the bride’s bouquet. Light wooden bistro chairs were lined up in rows for the guests to sit in. The coziness of the corner setting and the relatively small amount of chairs highlighted the intimacy of the affair.
Tapestry signs featured throughout the day, all handwritten by Cottonwood Print. At the reception, a small golden box filled with fresh flowers awaited each guest at their place setting. Atop each box sat a homemade cookie with the guest’s name on it!
The bar cart featured champagne glasses already prepared for tasting. It also served as the escort table! A ribbon emblazoned with each guest’s name and table number draped over each glass of champagne. It was the perfect way to initiate a champagne toast as guests arrived at the reception.
Handpainted details were the starring feature of the gorgeous dessert table. Sinfully Sweet provided a four-tier cake adorned with handpainted florals and bordered by sugar flowers. They also baked dozens of flower-shaped sugar cookies, each handpainted. The sweets were nearly too beautiful to eat! A tapestry featuring a quote about love was the backdrop to the delicious display.
A Breathtaking Bride
Throughout the day, the bride looked stunning in a gown from BHLDN. Her hair was swept up into a milkmaid braid, and her effortless makeup accentuated her natural beauty. She carried an oversized bouquet brimming with ivory and pink flowers and greenery. The arrangement had a gathered feel as though she had just selected the blooms from a garden.
