Alex and Sean are such a sweet and family-oriented couple. We loved photographing their wedding day at Bentwater Yacht Club! Wedding Ceremony on Lake Conroe
The location where Alex and Sean said “I do” was simply breathtaking. Their venue, Bentwater Yacht Club, is perched on the shore of Lake Conroe, with panoramic views of the open water. The couple decided to host their ceremony outdoors in the club’s Signature Gazebo, where the lake rippled softly behind them as they said their vows. It was a beautiful October day without a single cloud in the sky!
In addition to writing their vows, Alex and Sean personalized their ceremony by watering a tree together. We love the unique ways our couples are choosing to symbolize their union, whether it’s lighting a candle, pouring sand, or planting seeds. Then, as the overjoyed bride and groom walked back down the aisle, their loved ones threw fresh flower petals! Capturing the smiles on their faces was one of our favorite moments of the day.
Bridal Portraits at Bentwater Yacht Club
Since Alex and Sean opted for a first look, we were able to snap some portraits before and after their ceremony! We began inside the yacht club, in front of floor-to-ceiling windows that allowed sunlight to pour into the space. It was the perfect location to highlight Sean’s expression when he saw his beautiful bride! Alex looked flawless all day long in a classic updo and soft berry lip. We also adored her simple gown of ivory crepe, with an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline and slim-fitting skirt that flowed into a chapel train.
Later on, as the sun began to set over the lake, we snuck the couple away from their reception for a few moments—this is when the best lighting happens! The two took in the view from a balcony overlooking the lake, then headed down to their ceremony location. As they walked together and reminisced on the day, the sky was awash in stunning pastel colors. Soon, it was time to return to the celebration, where a champagne tower and a golf-themed cake (a nod to Sean’s favorite hobby) awaited them!
