We adored Nicole and Vince and felt honored to photograph their wedding at Addison Woods! Set in Stone Events, one of our favorite Houston wedding planners, referred them to us, and we could tell we would be a perfect fit from the moment we met. Plus, we couldn’t wait to revisit this gorgeous venue after shooting Kirsten and Will’s wedding there in March!

Wedding at Addison Woods with a First Look

As the wedding day got underway, Nicole slipped into a gown from Brickhouse Bridal with a plunging lace bodice and a chiffon mermaid skirt. Then, she surprised her entire bridal party with a first look! Everyone had the sweetest reaction, and her bridesmaids also looked stunning in navy velvet gowns from Revelry. Then, it was time for a first look with Vince!

We love when couples break tradition with a first look because it allows more time for taking portraits of the two of you. After Vince saw his breathtaking bride (we’re still not over the look on his face!), we took advantage of the daylight pouring in through the windows of the Laura May Chapel for their portraits. We love this space because it is so bright and airy—even on a rainy day, it boasts ideal lighting! Despite this wedding taking place in November, there was plenty of time to explore the space before the couple said their “I do’s,” and the sun started to set.

‘Day After’ Sessions for Rainy Wedding Days

It rained throughout Nicole and Vince’s wedding at Addison Woods, but we made the best of it! Still, we know most couples have their heart set on sunlit outdoor portraits. That’s why we offer complimentary ‘day after’ sessions to our clients whose wedding days are rainy! We know Texas weather can be unpredictable, and we want you to feel great about your investment.

You and your new spouse will get dolled up again, just like on your wedding day! Then, we’ll reshoot your portraits outdoors at no additional cost. Of course, we’ll still capture the two of you on your wedding day, no matter what.
