Monique and Josh’s May wedding at The Springs in Cypress looked and felt like something out of a fairytale! The dreamy pastel color palette they chose was the perfect complement to the venue’s French chateau-inspired architecture. They make an adorable couple, and we’re so glad we could photograph their wedding day. We looked forward to it ever since shooting their Galveston Island State Park engagement session!
An Incredible Aisle Reveal
The wedding morning promised a day of beautiful May sunshine as Monique and Josh joined their bridal parties to get ready. Monique did a first look for her bridesmaids, and she took everyone’s breath away in her gown with a floaty a-line skirt, corset bodice, and all-over lace. She wore her hair in a soft updo and looked like a fairytale bride! Her elegant Jimmy Choo heels were the perfect finishing touch. Meanwhile, her bridesmaids wore blush satin gowns to complement Josh and his groomsmen’s dark blue suits.
Monique and Josh exchanged handwritten letters during the morning but waited until their ceremony to see each other. It was the perfect choice for them! When Josh saw Monique walking down the aisle, the pure joy and love in his eyes made every minute of waiting worth it. Their ceremony was beautiful, backlit by natural light pouring into The Springs in Cypress’ chapel through floor-to-ceiling windows. We loved how the couple incorporated their faith into the ceremony by braiding a three-stranded cord to symbolize their commitment, referencing Ecclesiastes 4:12.
Bridal Portraits at The Springs in Cypress
After their officiant pronounced them husband and wife, Monique and Josh processed back down the aisle amid showers of rose petals from their loved ones. Then, they joined their bridal parties outside for portraits. While we’ve worked with dozens of bridal parties as wedding photographers, Monique and Josh’s friends truly impressed us. They were incredibly supportive all day and made our portrait session so fun. The shot of Josh on the shoulders of his groomsmen is our favorite because it shows just how excited he was to be Monique’s husband!
Afterward, we stole away with Josh and Monique for portraits on the grounds at The Springs in Cypress. This palatial venue just outside Houston is a photographer’s dream. From the sun-dappled tree groves to the venue’s grand circular driveway, we discovered beautiful backdrops everywhere. We can’t wait to return and explore more!
Monique and Josh’s wedding at The Springs in Cypress was an incredible testament to their love, and we’re so glad we could document it! From their initial inquiry about scheduling an engagement session to “I do,” we’ve enjoyed every moment of the journey with this sweet couple. Are you planning your wedding day in the Houston area? Say hi! We would love to share more about our photography style and commitment to our clients on a discovery call.
